Siemens Corporate Research sucht Praktikanten, die an einem Projekt
mitarbeiten wollen, das Grundlage fuer eine nationale Platform fuer
Krebsforschung sein koennte. Ein existierendes System, dass  
Kollaboration
mittels schemabasierter Dokumente erlaubt, soll ausgebaut werden. Es  
gibt
die Moeglichkeit, waehrend des Praktikums wissenschaftliche Artikel oder
Patentideen zu verfassen.

SCR sitzt in Princeton, NJ, in der Naehe von New York. Man bekommt
Lebensunterhalt, ein Auto und wertvolle Auslandserfahrung.

The Data Integration Group of the Integrated Data Systems Department of
Siemens Corporate Research has  internship openings starting  
immediately.
The duration is at least 6 months. In this position, the successful
candidate will conduct leading-edge research and development on
integrating a scientific database and integration platform  into a
national biomedical informatics Grid system in the US. Successful
innovative candidate will also have chance to submit invention  
disclosures
and conference/journal publications.

Knowledge and skills required:
-Java proficiency
-Experiences in grid computing and web services
-Web development experiences with J2EE
-Strong knowledge of XML related technologies
-Knowledge of data management
-Experience in developing complex software system
-Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills a must
-English language fluency
