Dear all,

At a research institute (PIK, formerly MCC) in Berlin, we welcome 
applications from students interested in collaborating on projects 
aiming to develop optimized proposals for international mechanisms for 
climate change mitigation, pandemic prevention and other global problems 
as part of the architecture outlined here:

Several of the existing projects (see 
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1r6Uoh7l1RzQEQ5XutjC8pk26yeSHlQbeXIhHgqx9j-Q/edit?tab=t.0 
for sketches of some of them) are suitable for Master’s or Bachelor’s 
theses in Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, or Data 
Science. We also offer student assistant positions. Student assistants 
can focus fully on the project of their Bachelor’s/Master’s thesis. 
Alternatively, it is possible to work on different complementary 
components (e.g. on the theoretical/mathematical aspects of a project 
for the thesis and on the computational aspects as the work for the 
student assistant position).
