1 studentische Hilfskraft, 80 Stunden/Monat

10,98 Euro pro Stunde, 1.5.2015 (oder so bald wie möglich) –
31.3.2017 (Verlängerung möglich)

Bei dieser Stelle geht es statistische Methoden und die
Vorbereitung von Daten zur Klassifikation affektiver Signale
sowie um die Anpassung computationaler Modelle von
Emotionsausdrücken und die Integration der Modelle mit
anderen affektiven Signalen.

Aufgabengebiet:
- Programmieren
- Vorbereitung Daten zur Klassifikation affektiver Signale

Anforderungen:
- Studium einer für das Aufgabengebiet einschlägigen
Fachrichtung, z.B. B.A./B.Sc. Computer Science, Psychologie,
Kognitive Neurowissenschaften
- Kenntnisse der gängigen Office-Programme

Vorausgesetzt wird:
- Expertise in Matlab, Python oder äquivalente Programme
- sehr gute Englischkenntnisse

Erwünscht ist:
- Interesse, experimentelle und computationale Ansätze zu
verbinden
- Statistikkenntnisse
- Von Vorteil: Erfahrung mit fMRT, Psychophysik

1 Student Research Assistant 80hrs/month

10,98 Euro/hour, 1 May 2015 (or a.s.a.p.) – 31 March 2017
(extension possible)

A student assistant position is available from 1 April 2015
(pending on funding approval) for two years at the Berlin
School of Mind and Brain in the „Social Cognition“ group.
The student will be involved in a project investigating the
  associations between behavioral (e.g., facial expressions,
eye movements) and physiological (e.g., neuronal activity,
skin  conductance response) parameters of social cognition
and emotion processing in healthy individuals and those with
autism spectrum  disorder. A variety of methods, including
multimodal automatic analysis of facial expressions,
classification of emotions, neuroimaging, and computational
tracking of affective signals will be applied.

The specific tasks in that project include:
- Setup and administration computer-based scenarios for
tracking affective signals
- Adaptation and modification of computational models of
facial expression and emotion to integrate them with other
data streams
- Statistical modelling and classification of multimodal
affective signals

Requirements:
- B.A/B.Sc. in e.g. computer science, statistics,
psychology, cognitive (neuro-)science
- Expertise in Matlab, Python or equivalent
- Proficiency in English

Desirable:
- Strong interest in combining experimental and
computational approaches
- Advantage: Experience with statistics and fMRI,
psychophysics, or eyetracking
