the European Bioinformatics Institute (EBI) is looking for a developer at our Ensembl-Core-Team:

Working at the EBI is not only well paid (you are officially working for the European Union through EMBL), it is also highly collaborative as most major bioinformatics data resources in Europe are created here, UniProt, PDBe, Interpro to only name a few aside from Ensembl.  The campus is shared with the Sanger Institute, which did the majority of the original human genome sequencing and creates resources like COSMIC.

Aside from being in an excellent scientific environment, you will be part of a very friendly and helpful team. There are a lot of possibilities for personal development through in-house and external training courses.
  
Cambridge is a very international university town about 80km north of London. It has several parks in the city centre and lot's of restaurants and pubs. Stansted Airport is 30 min by train and it only takes 50 minutes to go to central London (King's Cross).

Please don't hesitate to apply if you don't know Perl but have experience in another scripting language like Python or Ruby.
