The Language/Action Perspective was formulated in the 80's and
distinguished itself from the IT and IS research at that time by its focus
on what Habermas called the "social world", as distinct from the subject
and object world. Information Systems do more than process data, they
support communicative action and coordination. The LAP perspective has
been further worked out in the '90s in yearly workshops. One well-known
LAP approach is enterprise ontology (Dietz).

The goal of the LAP workshop 2017 (May 3-4, Tilburg, The Netherlands) is
to reflect on the current status of LAP and its future prospects.

Invited speakers include Goran Goldkuhl and Jan Dietz.

If you like to be involved or stay informed about the 2017 LAP Workshop,
then please let me know.
