Dear members and friends of the International Club,

as you probably have heard by now, the Freie University supports the large
scale efforts currently being taken in society to contain the spread of
the novel coronavirus.

--> Unfortunately, this means that all events of the International Club
planned for the summer semester 2020 must be cancelled! :-(

Courses scheduled for the upcoming summer semester at Freie Universität
Berlin will be held using digital formats and work at Freie Universität
will be reduced to minimal on-site operations (at least until 11th May).
For further information visit (constantly updated):
https://www.fu-berlin.de/en/sites/coronavirus/index.html

Please inform yourself regularly about measures taken to reduce infection
risks in Berlin (WASH YOUR HANDS; SNEEZE ETIQUETTE etc.):

Until the 5th of April the following measures are set in place:

PLEASE STAY INSIDE YOUR APARTMENT as much as possible and avoid meeting
friends or colleagues in person!

You are allowed to leave your apartment to:

- to go to your workplace (only if you cannot work from home)
- to go grocery shopping
- for physical activities (jogging etc. ONLY ON YOUR OWN, not in groups!)
- to walk your dog/ work in the garden
- to visit partners, elderly or sick relatives
- to go see your doctor (CALL BEFOREHAND if you have flu-like symptoms)

By law, you are required to CARRY YOUR PASSPORT/ID with you at all times.
Police and other regulatory agencies (Ordnungsamt) may ask you to provide
identification and for your reasons to be outside. If you leave your home
for any of the reasons mentioned above, please stay away (at least 1.5
meters) from other citizens.

Some of the information about regulations may not be available in English,
if you come across something that you need translated or something that
might be important to know for all remaining exchange students, please let
us know! We will help you as much as possible.

In case you feel a little bit bored, the Erasmus Student Network is
interested in Erasmus students who currently face the impacts of the
corona virus on their stay abroad and therefore created a survey where you
might want to participate:

Best wishes and stay healthy!
Your International Club
