Auch Cups und somit unser Cups-Paket bringen die üblichen
Kommandozeilentools mit - stecken im cups-client-Paket, welches vom
cups-Paket required wird:

b 0755 root root cups-client usr/bin/lp
b 0755 root root cups-client usr/bin/lpoptions
b 0755 root root cups-client usr/bin/lpq
b 0755 root root cups-client usr/bin/lpr
b 0755 root root cups-client usr/bin/lprm
b 0755 root root cups-client usr/bin/lpstat
b 0755 root root cups-client usr/sbin/lpc
b 0755 root root cups-client usr/sbin/lpinfo
b 0755 root root cups-client usr/sbin/lpmove

Ich könnte mir vorstellen, dass man das aus Kompatibilitätsgründen zu lprng
gemacht hat, um den Umstieg zu erleichtern und nicht xxx Skripte anpassen
zu müssen.
