IMHO können nur mit bekanntem Dateisystem versehene Partitionen gemountet
werden.

Wenn ich - ohne Verwendung des Dateisystems - einen Datenträger bitweise
(dd) sichern will, geht das direkt ohne Mount, solange der Stick vom Kernel
erkannt und als sd-Device eingebunden wird.
