[Stellenangebote] Two PhD positions in computational biology

Dear all,

If someone is currently looking for a computational Ph.D. opportunity, 
Igor Adameyko's lab (https://adameykolab.eu — the Vienna part) has two 
PhD positions open: https://lnkd.in/g8biqzZP
The projects are bioinformatics-related, involving a thorough analysis 
of a lot of data that will be generated in the near future (mainly 
focusing on the development of the nervous system / organoids / etc).
Igor is eager to hire a candidate with a strong background in 
bioinformatics and who is not afraid to explore a lot of new things.

Even if you want to develop "your own" computational tools, in this lab, 
interesting computational aspects regularly arise during data analysis, 
which are in parallel published (like this https://lnkd.in/g6t4sRXw) — 
and despite Igor not being a bioinformatician himself, the lab actively 
collaborates with Peter Kharchenko (the corresponding author of the 
seminal paper on RNA velocity) + there are experienced folks in the lab. 
There are quite a lot of purely computational challenges but the lab is 
mostly about biology and understanding biology. Igor is a scientist with 
a fantastic breadth of knowledge, and it's pleasant to talk to him about 
science and life :)

The lab itself is just awesome, with a very friendly atmosphere, 
everyone helps each other, and there is no toxicity. Vienna is also a 
nice city, quite calm and comfortable, with lots of cool museums and 
various activities.
