Mitarbeiter/in) to join my group.

# Topic
I am looking for someone interested in probabilistic modelling,
distributed systems, optimisation. The research topic is not fixed and
can be attached to ongoing projects e.g. with engineers on the use of
blockchain for quality control, with social scientists on automation in
media studies to name just two.

The post includes light teaching duties.

# Profile
- You hold an MSc in computer science or mathematics
- You have a strong background in at least one area related to the
research topics of the group, e.g., probabilistic modelling,
distributed systems, blockchain technologies, machine learning, or
networking technologies
- You are motivated to apply theoretical insights in practice
- You can speak and write fluently in English, some knowledge of German
is a plus
- You have good programming skills

# Position
The full-time post is offered for 4 years. Gross salary is starting
from 50k€ according to the German TV-L E13 tariff. Freie Universität is
located in the South-West of Berlin. The university has been very
successful in the German excellence competitions. The university is
especially strong in natural and social sciences as well as the
humanities. The university is very international, as is the city, with
several very competitive English study programmes, which attract highly
talented students from around the world.
