The University of Würzburg has an open tenured position in the Institute for Computer Science starting at 1 April 2023:

Professorship (W2) for Computer engineering

The future holder of the professorship is expected to address classical topics such as computer systems, computer architecture and system-related software as well as current areas of computer engineering in research and teaching. The future holder of the professorship should have outstanding credentials in several of the following topics:
- embedded systems
- digital technology and hardware design, e.g. with VHDL and FPGA
- application-specific special hardware, e.g. AI processors for aerospace technology, games engineering, industrial automation or autonomous driving
- hardware-related algorithms
Other possible topics include:
- parallel and distributed architectures
- computing architectures for heterogeneous architectures
- high-performance computing and energy-efficient computing
- reconfigurable architectures and self-organizing systems
- hardware-related performance engineering
- system-on-chip systems
- real-time systems
