Die Arbeitsgruppe Sichere Identität unter der Leitung von Prof. Dr.-Ing. Volker Roth befasst sich mit technischen Methoden zum Schutz der individuellen Informationssicherheit und der Privatheit und den Auswirkungen der Informatik in den Bereichen Überwachung und gesellschaftliche Konflikte.

Aufgabengebiet:
* Unterstützung bei der Projektarbeit
* Unterstützung bei Forschungsvorhaben im Rahmen des Projektes
* Unterstützung beim automatisierten Sammeln, Bereinigen und Zusammenführen von Daten von Social Programming Sites (z. B. Github, GHTorrent) und Paketmanagern (z. B. Libraries.io), auf deren Basis ein Graphenmodell entwickelt werden soll
* Unterstützung bei Publikationstätigkeiten: Literaturarbeiten, Recherchen, Datenanalysen
* Unterstützung bei der Online-Befragung von Entwicklern

Erwünscht:
* Informatik oder vergleichbare Fachrichtung, z. B. Data Science
* sehr gute Englischkenntnisse: gemeinsame Arbeitssprache ist Englisch und nur vereinzelt Deutsch
* Kenntnisse der Software-Entwicklung (z. B. Python) sowie der Webentwicklung (z. B. APIs, Scraping, HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
* Erfahrung in der Analyse großer Datenmengen
* Bereitschaft und Fähigkeit zur Einarbeitung in relevante Software
* sorgfältige Arbeitsweise
* Zuverlässigkeit & Teamfähigkeit

The Secure Identity Research Group led by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Volker Roth investigates technical methods of protecting individual information security and privacy, and the impact of information technology within the areas of surveillance and social conflicts.

Requirements:
* assistance in project-oriented work
* supporting the research within the scope of the project
* assisting in automatically collecting, cleansing and merging data from social programming sites (e.g. Github, GHTorrent) and package managers (e.g. Libraries.io) based on which a graph model will be developed
* supporting publication activities: evaluating literature - research activities - data analysis
* assisting in the online survey of software developers

Desirable:
* Computer Science or a comparable field, e.g. Data Science
* very good English skills: common working language is English and only occasionally German
* knowledge of software development (e.g. Python) as well as web development (e.g. APIs, Scraping, HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
* experience in analyzing large amounts of data
* willingness and ability to learn relevant software
* careful working style
* reliability & team orientation
