Job description
---------------
The group is offering Student Positions to provide technical support for
the Horizon 2020 project ONE5G:
ONE5G—E2E—aware Optimizations and Advancements for the Network Edge of 5G
New Radio.
Specifically, the student shall implement:
- Routing, scheduling and prediction algorithms
- E2E performance optimization
- Learning and extraction of network parameters
- Virtualization of network functions for centralized radio access (CRAN)
- Application to multinode transmission, multi-service provision, and slicing
We strongly encourage final year master students to use the position and
outcomes for their master thesis at the FUB.

Requirements
------------
Prospective applicants must have completed two university semesters and
should be eligible for a student position at the Freie Universität Berlin.

Desirable Skills
----------------
Above average grades in modules concerning mathematics and informatics are
advisable and any familiarity with Queuing and Graph Theory, LTE, 5G,
IP-Networking and Shared Access is appreciated. Applicants should have
prior working experience in some the following environments: MATLAB
(Simulink), Python, C++, C, GNU Radio+, USRPs, OpenFlow, SDN, SDR NS2/3.
