Die EU-Kommission und das Europäische Parlament planen für den 2. November eine große Konferenz in Berlin – Thema ist zum einen das 25jährige Jubiläum des Mauerfalls, vorrangig geht es aber darum, dass zu diesem Anlass junge Menschen ihre Visionen für Europas Zukunft formulieren. Sie erarbeiten gemeinsam eine Art „Manifest“ und können dies mit hochrangigen Vertretern der drei EU-Institutionen medienwirksam diskutieren. Alle Kosten werden übernommen. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'>Bewerben kann man sich bis zum 15. September mit einem kurzen (Handy-)Video. Man kann sich auch bewerben, wenn man momentan nicht im Herkunftsland lebt, sondern in Berlin – deswegen wende ich mich an Euch. Würdet Ihr das Projekt unterstützen und die Ausschreibung an die Berliner Erasmus-Studierenden weiterleiten? Built to last forever. Forever? Not in 1989, when the Berlin Wall came down – in one night only. The fall of the Berlin wall was an important step towards German reunification, but also towards European integration. To commemorate the event, the German Representation of the European Commission, the Information Office of the European Parliament in Berlin and European Movement Germany are initiating a debate on the past, present and future of Europe, which will take place on Sunday, 2 November.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US style='mso-fareast-language:DE'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US style='mso-fareast-language:DE'>We are inviting 28 young Europeans born in 1989, one from each EU member state, to spend a weekend in Berlin together and to discuss their visions for the future of Europe.
